Domos del Silencio

Domos del Silencio sits in Barreal Blanco, Calingasta, San Juan Province, Argentina — at roughly 2,000 metres altitude within a 26,000-hectare private reserve in the Patagonian Andes foothills. It is approximately three hours from Mendoza and three hours from San Juan city.

The property operates within the Starlight tourism framework through partnerships including Casa Rural Starlight, offering astrotourism with telescopes under exceptional dark-sky conditions — more than 300 clear nights per year — with stewardship aligned to dark-sky and conservation standards.

Each glass geodesic dome includes a king bed, private bathroom with hot water, and a terrace with Andes views. The property limits occupancy to fourteen guests per night across all domes to preserve silence and sky quality.

Guests can enjoy astrotourism and telescope stargazing, landsailing (carrovelismo), trekking, horseback riding, night sky photography, and nature experiences connected to BioAndina, Aves Argentinas, the Condor conservation program, AZARA, and Red Argentina Reservas Naturales Privadas.
