Check-in at the Main Inn
Check-in from 4pm at the Front Desk in the Main Inn. The Heritage Dining Room serves dinner from 6pm, so the first evening meal is included from arrival. Your dining table is reserved for the duration of your stay — no reservations needed for any meal.

Morning on Lake Couchiching
The nearly two kilometres of Lake Couchiching waterfront sets the day's rhythm — swimming, kayaking, or paddleboarding in summer; skating on the 1.5 km trail in winter. The lake is the resort's greatest natural asset.

Fern's sports directors run eight age-appropriate activity programs daily — from archery and axe throwing to yoga, arts and crafts, and family tournaments. Activities run continuously, leaving guests to choose their own pace.

Honey – The Spa is an intimate boutique day spa at Fern Resort with three private treatment rooms: Zen Garden (massage and body treatments), The Facial Suite (Yon-Ka facials exclusively), and Le Grand Finale (waxing, brow and lash). Is Fern Resort good in winter?
Yes — Fern is a genuinely four-season resort. Winter programming includes a 1.5 km skating trail, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, curling on the lake, ice fishing, broomball, and horse-drawn sleigh rides on weekends. The indoor pool, fitness centre, saunas, and evening entertainment run year-round, and the Heritage Dining Room serves all three meals regardless of season.
Does Fern Resort allow day visitors?
Overnight guests may request a day pass for visitors. For 2026, rates are $285.00 + tax per adult, $213.75 + tax per teen, and $142.50 + tax per child (4–12). Day passes include lunch and dinner in the Heritage Dining Room, full use of facilities, and evening entertainment. They must be requested at least 24 hours in advance and are subject to dining room availability.
Are pets allowed at Fern Resort?
No pets are permitted on Fern Resort property. Guide Dogs and Service Dogs are welcome with advance notice at the time of booking. Emotional Support Animals are not permitted.
What is the cancellation policy at Fern Resort?
Deposits are $350 per person for stays of three days or longer, and $150 per person for shorter stays. Cancellations with written notice 14 days before arrival receive a full refund less a $50 per person service charge. Cancellations with less than 14 days notice forfeit the full deposit.
